David Deacon, CEO

In March 2017 David Deacon joined the board of Xogen Technologies Inc, and on May 23, 2017 became Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Mr. Deacon was President and Chief Executive Officer of STT Enviro Corp. from 2011 – 2017. He has broad experience in entrepreneurial management, engineering management, marketing, sales and finance. Under his leadership STT Enviro Corp, moved into new business sectors, completely paid off all debt and created a strong balance sheet, and established itself as a worldwide expert in lime slaking systems with a great track record of building robust and reliable systems in remote parts of the world. In May 2017 STT Enviro Corp was sold to Carmeuse Lime and Stone, a Global lime supplier with a 150 year history. Formerly, David was founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Group DKG Corp., a private company involved in the production of industrial fiberglass for application in the corrosion sector. From 2001 to 2006, David was President and Chief Operating Officer of Azure Dynamics, an early-stage hybrid electric vehicle company. David’s first nine years in business were spent in the brokerage industry: four as an institutional analyst and five as vice-president of retail sales.


Angella Hughes, BMath – President, COO:
Ms. Hughes has been President & CEO of Xogen Technologies Inc. since 2004. In that time she has developed the company’s technology from lab scale, through commercial prototype, demonstration and commercial product. She has established a research collaboration agreement between Xogen and the University of Toronto, University of Guelph, US Army and Atomic Energy of Canada. In addition she has raised capital to fund these activities from governments, debt and private equity. Formerly a Member of the Technical Staff for 13 years with Boeing Rocketdyne responsible for Critical 1 part manufacture and acceptance for the Space Shuttle Main Engine and for various other engine and space projects. Ms. Hughes has a BMath from the University of Waterloo and a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology (Nuclear) from Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology. Angella has also served on the Board of Directors of Headwaters Healthcare Centre in Orangeville, Ontario from 2005 to 2012, during that time she chaired Audit, Quality Assurance, Finance and Partnership Committees and today is a Member of the Advisory Committee at the School of Electronics Engineering Technology at Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology in Toronto, Ontario. Ms. Hughes also serves as a Director with the Strings Attached Orchestra.

Ryan B. Atkins, CFO & In-house General Counsel

Presently, Mr Atkins is also the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Legal Counsel for Holmes Communities, the land development subsidiary of the Mike Holmes Group of companies. He also acts as Corporate Strategy Advisor to Peterson Capital Corporation, a Vancouver-based capital funding firm. Mr. Atkins has almost 25 years of international accounting, finance and legal experience in both Canada and the United States.  Previously, Mr. Atkins was a founder and Vice President – Finance, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of CASA Energy Services Corp., a private Calgary-based oilfield services company, from February 2011 through February 2013. Mr. Atkins has also been the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of Albi Homes, a private Calgary-based luxury homebuilder, from July 2008 to February 2011 and a consultant to Amden Investments Ltd., a Calgary-based real estate development company from November 2002 through June 2008.  Mr. Atkins was an Of Counsel Partner at the Heenan Blaikie law firm in Calgary and also worked for over five years as a merger and acquisitions and securities law attorney at the law firms of Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco and Perkins Cole Brown & Bain LLP in Phoenix. Mr. Atkins was an accountant in the International Tax Services group with Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP in both its San Francisco and New York City offices.  Mr. Atkins previously served on the Board of Directors for NavNet Inc., a private Calgary-based home automation company.  Mr. Atkins has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (Finance) from Brigham Young University, a Masters degree in Accounting (Tax) and a Juris Doctor degree from New York School of Law.  Mr. Atkins also studied architecture in a graduate degree program.
