Landfill Leachate
Let us help.
Our patented process can address ammonia issues in any sized landfill. Our Advanced Electro-Oxidation process can be used as a Pre-treatment, a post treatment ‘Polisher’ solution or as a standalone full scale treatment solution. It is an alternative to the increasing costs associated with the hauling and disposal of leachate to offsite wastewater treatment plants.
We know our technology surpasses all other means of dealing with ammonia removal as well as other pollutants such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PCPPs), and Pathogens such as E-coli, Coliforms and non-coliform. Plus, our technology is backed by a business partner who has over 30 years of experience in building robust and economic systems for water treatment.
Our Process:
Provide a Sample: We will send you containers for water samples and a simple form to complete with information on your leachate. We will cover the shipping costs and schedule the pick-up.
Receive a Cost Estimate: The Xogen System process is customized to your leachate profile allowing us to target treatment and optimize efficiency and costs. We know each site is different so we need to test your leachate so we can prepare an accurate proposal of costs and treatment parameters tailored to your needs. We will provide a clear and simple by the gallon cost solution for you to compare to other ways you may treat your problem.
Agree to a Pilot: We will install a pilot plant to refine the site specific parameters required for treating your leachate which may result in a slight reduction in the quoted price. Based on a successful demonstration of our technology and proven treatment costs you will agree to contract our leachate treatment services at the quoted cost per gallon treated.
We will be the lowest cost solution in 90% of cases, making choosing an Xogen System an easy decision.
Realize Success: We will install a treatment plant and begin a service contract based on the quoted charge per gallon of leachate treated for the life of the negotiated contract.
We believe that once you sign up, you will never leave, because our process delivers a constantly monitored and maintained treatment plant which can take care of your ammonia issues from here forward.
How it works:
Leachate from the landfill is collected in an onsite leachate collection sump, then pumped to Xogen’s AEO-Ammonia electrolysis treatment units to reduce the ammonia concentrations to the required discharge levels. The pre-treated leachate can then be trucked offsite for further treatment at Publicly-Owned Treatment Works. Learn more
